I Have Never Been Ashamed of Either My Father or My Mother: Arsen Torosyan

My first independent job was during my student years, in my fourth year. I worked the night shift at a 24-hour pharmacy, and since that moment, I have essentially always worked and tried to instill the same principle in my children. This was noted by MP Arsen Torosyan on his Facebook page.

“My daughter is almost 14, and I encourage her to find a meaningful occupation during her summer vacation. I have never understood people when I hear them say ‘there is no work or jobs available.’ When I was 14, my father, being a candidate of geological sciences and a senior researcher at a research institute, earned money for our family through construction since we could not live on a scientist's salary. I would help him on my days off from school. My mother, being an engineer, worked the night shift at a bakery and worked at a school during the day. My mother also obtained a second higher education in pedagogy at a mature age. I have never been ashamed of either my father or my mother; rather, I have been proud that I have such parents who are ready to work tirelessly and improve themselves to provide for their children’s sustenance and education. This kind of reasoning is acceptable to me, not the opposite.
