Pashinyan Sends Message on Labor Day
Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan has sent a congratulatory message on the occasion of Labor Day: “Dear citizens of the Republic of Armenia, today we celebrate Labor Day. On this holiday, I want to reaffirm the idea I recently expressed in the National Assembly, that work and education are the keys to solving all our problems. Again, I cannot separate work from education, because without work it is impossible to receive education, and work that is not based on knowledge is merely toil, often without the desired result.
Work based on knowledge is progress, education, efficiency, and creative pleasure. It is precisely on this principle that the economic successes we have today are based. It is these hundreds of thousands of workers and entrepreneurs who ensure the impressive revenues of the state budget of the Republic of Armenia. They increase respect for work and education, proving that it is possible to achieve incredible successes through knowledge-based work.
Work based on knowledge and knowledge strengthened by work and experience—this is the principle that must make our economy, our army, our diplomacy, our educational system, and our state modern and competitive. Moreover, in many sectors, we emphasize the importance of establishing standards; however, we do not consider the standardization of knowledge to be beneficial at all, because each profession requires the knowledge necessary for its work. An asphalt worker needs his knowledge, a diplomat needs his, a military person needs his.
But it is indisputable and unambiguous that only knowledge-based work can lead to development and progress. Therefore, I congratulate all of us on Labor Day and thank everyone who raises Armenia with their work. I especially congratulate and welcome foreign nationals who have chosen our country as a place for work and economic activity. You are welcome!”
