Turkey Closes Its Airspace for Flights from Armenia to Third Countries

Turkey has closed its airspace for flights from Armenia to third countries. This was announced by Turkey's Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu. The information was reported by the TASS news agency.

"We have closed Armenia's airspace to third countries for flights. If necessary, we will allow planes to fly back to our country, but we will not allow the passage of aircraft and private jets through our territory until provocations cease. If they do not stop, we will take further measures," he stated.

It is noteworthy that today Flyone Armenia announced the cancellation of another flight from Yerevan to Paris and back. The airline explained this by stating that on May 2, Turkey's aviation authorities did not grant permission for transit through their airspace.
