Fire at SAS Food Court

A fire broke out at a fast-food outlet. This was reported by the Ministry of Emergency Situations.

"On April 23, at 13:20, the National Crisis Management Center received a call about a fire in the ventilation system motor on the second floor of the SAS food court located on Arshakunyats Avenue in Yerevan.

A "1 BIS" alarm was issued, and four fire-rescue teams from the Yerevan Rescue Department, along with the duty group from the Department of Fire Extinguishing and Rescue Operations, rushed to the scene. It was determined that the fire originated in the kitchen of the fast-food outlet on the first floor.

The fire was contained by 13:38 and extinguished by 13:56. The layer of grease accumulated in the exhaust duct and food in the oven were burned," the statement said.
