Grant Tobacco Exempted from Customs Duties for 176 Billion AMD Investment and Creation of 150 Jobs

The government exempted Grant Tobacco LLC from customs duties during its meeting today, April 21, under an investment program in a priority sector.

The justification for the decision states that the raw materials imported by Grant Tobacco are intended for cigarette production. The production will be carried out in Yerevan, Armenia.

As part of the program, it is planned to make an investment of 176.3 billion AMD for the acquisition of raw materials.

The investment program is expected to create 150 new jobs with an average monthly salary of up to 476,000 AMD.

The value of the goods presented for receiving the exemption is 175 billion AMD. The exemption from customs duties is estimated at 8.6 billion AMD.
