Second Azerbaijani Soldier Detained in Armenian Territory
On April 13, a second Azerbaijani soldier was found and detained in Armenian territory. This information was provided by the Armenian Ministry of Defense.
Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan clarified why Azerbaijani soldiers had reached deep into Armenian territory. Following investigative actions, according to the Prime Minister, Armenian law enforcement agencies have determined that the soldiers abandoned their positions due to pressure.
This may have been reported by the Azerbaijani soldier detained two days ago in the village of Ashotavan in the Sisian community. “A soldier of the Azerbaijani army simply fled their positions with their comrade due to pressure and humiliation from other service members,” said Pashinyan in parliament.
