Breaking News: Explosion in Kazakhstan Leads to Collapse, Casualties Reported
An explosion occurred in a residential building in the city of Zhanaozen, Kazakhstan. RTVI reports that the blast took place in a two-story apartment building with 12 units, resulting in the collapse of the building's entrance.
According to Kazakh media, one person has died and 12 others have been injured. The report states that the condition of two of the injured individuals is critical, and they are currently in intensive care with burns covering 80% and 50% of their bodies.
Sputnik Kazakhstan, citing city officials, reports that five of the 12 injured have been hospitalized.
