VIDEO: Casualties Reported After Parking Garage Collapse in Manhattan

A parking garage in New York has collapsed, according to reports from ABC and CBC. The incident occurred around noon on April 18 in Lower Manhattan, near Pace University, which was evacuated.

Six people have been rescued from the rubble. One of them has died, and five others were injured. Four individuals have been taken to hospitals, according to NY Post.

New York City Mayor Eric Adams stated that the building structures are unstable, and rescuers are utilizing specialized equipment. The causes of the incident are still unknown.
