Photos: Accident on Yerevan-Gyumri Highway - Casualties Reported
On April 16, at 10:28 AM, the Aragatsotn regional crisis management center received a report about a traffic accident at the intersection in the village of Nerk’in Bazmaberd. The Ministry of Emergency Situations (MES) Rescue Service has informed about this.
A firefighting unit from the regional rescue department of the MES was dispatched to the scene. It was determined that vehicles involved in the accident at the 58th km of the Yerevan-Gyumri highway were a Toyota Camry (driver K. S., born in 1987) and an Infiniti (driver E. Sh. U., born in 1982, a citizen of Lebanon).
Before the rescuers arrived at the scene, the drivers and passengers had been extracted from the vehicles. The passenger of the Infiniti, M. T. (born in 1966), was approached by the rescuers and assisted to an ambulance. He and another passenger, N. G. (born in 1958), were hospitalized at the hospital in Talin, where their health conditions were assessed as satisfactory.
The rescuers disconnected the power from the vehicles and shut off the gas tank valve of the Infiniti.
