VIDEO: How MP Mher Sahakyan Escapes After Hitting Vladimir Vardanyan

Footage has circulated on the internet showing how MP Mher Sahakyan from the "Armenia" faction escapes after hitting Vladimir Vardanyan. Recall that a closed discussion on international legal processes took place in the National Assembly today.

There was an incident between MP Mher Sahakyan of the "Armenia" faction and the chairman of the Committee on State and Legal Affairs, Vladimir Vardanyan.

According to the Secretary of the CP faction, Arthur Hovhannisyan, member of the ARF, Mher Sahakyan struck chairman Vladimir Vardanyan and fled the scene. Vardanyan sustained bodily injuries and was taken to the hospital.

The Investigative Committee of the Republic of Armenia has initiated a criminal case under Article 297, Part 3, and Article 195, Part 2, Clause 1 of the RA Criminal Code in connection with the incident.

MP M. Sahakyan has been arrested based on reasonable suspicion of committing a criminal act and was taken to the Police Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Armenia.

MP Vladimir Vardanyan has been recognized as a victim in the proceedings and has been transferred to the "Nairi" medical center for treatment. A forensic examination has been appointed.

Several eyewitnesses have been interrogated, and necessary investigative actions are ongoing with the arrested M. Sahakyan.
