The Distance Between Armenian and Azerbaijani New Positions is 15 Meters - Media
Today, on March 30, Armenian armed forces have deployed to new positions and commenced engineering works parallel to Azerbaijani positions. This was shared with Hetq.am by one of the locals involved in the engineering activities at the new positions.
According to the media source's interlocutor, the new positions are located near the former Armenian checkpoint along the road from Tegh village to Stepanakert.
"On one side of the road are us, and on the other side are the Azerbaijanis, with equipment brought to both sides, and construction works underway. The positions are 10-15 meters apart," the source said.
The media reports that, violating the bilateral agreement, the Azerbaijani side has established new positions near the Armenian Tegh village since last night (March 29).
According to the bilateral agreement between Armenia and Azerbaijan, work to establish new parallel positions between Tegh and Aghavno villages was supposed to begin on April 1 of this year, but the Azerbaijani side has claimed advantageous positions and started engineering works since last night.
