Soldier Killed in Yeraskh Posthumously Awarded Combat Service Medal

The President of Armenia, Vahagn Khachaturyan, has signed a decree to posthumously award Arshak Seryozha Sargsyan with the Combat Service Medal.

According to the decree, "Based on the Prime Minister's recommendation, in accordance with Article 136 of the Constitution, as well as Articles 5.3, 1 and 9 of the Law on State Awards and Honorary Titles of the Republic of Armenia, to posthumously award Arshak Seryozha Sargsyan, a conscript soldier of the Ministry of Defense's N military unit, for bravery and selfless dedication shown in defense of the homeland's borders with the Combat Service Medal."

It is reported that on March 22, around 16:20, during enemy fire at a combat position located in the Yeraskh area, soldier Arshak Sargsyan received a fatal gunshot wound.
