The former President of Georgia, Mikheil Saakashvili, told Politico that Russian agents infiltrated Georgian security services have been involved in his poisoning.

“Russian agents have infiltrated the Georgian security service,” Saakashvili's words are quoted in written responses shared by American lawyer Massimo di Angelo.

“I clearly remember the day the poison was applied, I was about to die, my health has been poor since then... In the institution where I am, the main decisions about treatment are made by the security services, not the doctors; they assign all the doctors,” Saakashvili wrote.

The lawyer claims that small amounts of poison may have been mixed into Saakashvili's food and water, according to the article in Politico.
