Next Training Gatherings Scheduled: Government Meeting Agenda
The agenda for tomorrow's government meeting includes the issue of announcing training gatherings. According to the proposal, training gatherings for reserve soldiers registered in the first and second categories of the first group will be announced from April 15 to June 15, 2023, lasting for a period of two months.
Up to 953 citizens will be involved in the training gatherings, including 476 from junior officer and private ranks, 25 from senior officer ranks, and 452 from reserve officers. Conducting training gatherings for reserves is planned under the relevant decision of the government of the Republic of Armenia from 2022. The aim is to replenish the troops with better prepared reserves possessing necessary military registration specialties and to enhance the quality of professional training for citizens registered in the reserves, thereby accumulating reserves with corresponding military registration specialties.
The process will be carried out in accordance with Article 58 of the Law on Military Service and the Status of Servicemen and the Government Decision No. 1174-N of October 18, 2018.
At the same time, taking into account the specialties and numbers of the trained reserves, and considering that in June and July 2023, according to the annual training plan, there will be summaries and evaluations in the military units, it is deemed more appropriate to conduct the training gatherings for a period of two months instead of three months.
