Details on the Incident Between Russian Border Guards and Azerbaijanis

Russian border guards attempted to mediate the return of a lost contract soldier to Armenian-controlled territory due to poor weather conditions yesterday. This was reported by 'Armenian Time'. According to the site, there was an agreement between the Russians and the Azerbaijanis, leading to a Russian 'UAZ' vehicle, marked with Russian military insignia, entering a territory controlled by Azerbaijan. Subsequently, the vehicle came under fire from Azerbaijani forces, resulting in injuries to two Russian soldiers who were subsequently transported to Goris Medical Center.

As a reminder, the Ministry of Defense of Armenia previously reported that on March 21, around 12:20 PM, an Armenian Armed Forces soldier, M.G., got lost while transporting supplies in thick fog and poor visibility conditions and inadvertently entered an area under Azerbaijani control. It has now been confirmed that the soldier was found as a result of search and rescue operations.
