Report of the Human Rights Defender of Artsakh on the 100-Day Blockade
The Human Rights Defender of the Republic of Artsakh published an urgent trilingual report on March 21, detailing violations of individual and collective rights due to the 100-day blockade imposed by Azerbaijan.
The report comprehensively presents information on violations of 7 individual rights, 5 vulnerable groups, and 4 collective rights through 100 points, reflecting the deepening humanitarian crisis and the genocidal policies perpetrated against the people of Artsakh by Azerbaijan.
The document includes 24 photographs and 27 personal stories related to the blockade, as well as 46 relevant documents concerning the Azerbaijani-Karabakh conflict and related violations of the rights of the people of Artsakh since 2016.
Alongside the comprehensive blockade, Azerbaijan is deliberately disrupting critical infrastructure in Artsakh, including gas and electricity supply, as well as communication services, aiming to further exacerbate the already dire humanitarian crisis and inflict suffering on the people of Artsakh.
The ongoing blockade by Azerbaijan, the disruptions to vital infrastructure, and the recurring and systematic armed attacks and threats of the use of force aim to carry out ethnic cleansing by creating unbearable living conditions for the residents of Artsakh and eradicating its indigenous Armenian population.
