Truck Train Hits Woman Crossing Tracks in Yerevan; She Pronounced Dead at the Scene
Today, on March 20, around 15:00, the police station in Shengavits received a report that a citizen had fallen onto the tracks of a train in the Aeracia neighborhood and was pronounced dead at the scene.
According to shamshyan.com, law enforcement officers and a team of doctors arrived, who confirmed the citizen's death. The doctors reportedly also provided assistance at the scene to the deceased's relatives, as their condition had worsened.
It has been established that the deceased was a 71-year-old resident of Yerevan named Alvard T.
The police and investigative department are working to identify the truck train driver and have operational information indicating that the driver saw the citizen crossing the tracks and honked several times; however, this did not help, and the train could not stop suddenly.
