Azerbaijani Ombudsman Representatives Visit Armenian Prisoners in Country's Jails
Azerbaijani Ombudsman officials have visited the Baku No. 1 Penitentiary Institution, where citizens of the Republic of Armenia are held, as reported by the Turan agency.
"They met and listened to numerous detainees, including Armenian citizens, who were arrested after November 10, 2020," the media outlet cites an official statement.
According to the source, Armenian detainees were "provided with legislative acts concerning their rights in their own language."
"During regular meetings, it was noted that the legal requirements are maintained for these individuals, their rights are ensured, essential medical and psychological assistance is provided, and leisure activities are effectively organized," the statement said.
According to the Azerbaijani Ombudsman's office, Armenian prisoners of war did not have any complaints.
