Nine countries have agreed to jointly supply over 150 Leopard tanks to Ukraine. This announcement was made by U.S. Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin during the meeting of the Ramstein Contact Group on military aid to Ukraine.
In his opening remarks, Austin stated that the coalition of countries providing Leopard tanks to Ukraine continues to grow. “Now 9 countries have committed to providing Kyiv with more than 150 Leopard tanks,” Austin said.
The Contact Group on Defense for Ukraine has begun its tenth meeting in the Ramstein format today. This meeting is being held online. Politicians had previously stated that the most urgent needs of Ukraine, including ammunition supplies, would be discussed during the meeting.
