Peskov on the Threats to Russian Citizens' Safety in Georgia

Dmitry Peskov, the spokesperson for the President of Russia, has stated that Russians should avoid the areas of Tbilisi experiencing unrest related to protests against foreign agents legislation and should exercise caution. He made this announcement to journalists.

“There are street riots taking place, and it is evident that Russian citizens should refrain from remaining in areas where these street disturbances are occurring,” Peskov said.

The press secretary noted that Moscow does not wish to interfere with the unfolding events and is not connected to them.

According to Tsotne Koberidze, a member of the “Girchi-More Freedom” party, the opposition in Georgia intends to continue protests despite the ruling party's decision to withdraw the foreign agents legislation from parliament.
