Photos of Three Police Officers Killed in Today's Diversion Released by Artsakh Ministry of Internal Affairs

The Ministry of Internal Affairs of Artsakh has released the photos of three police officers killed in today’s diversion:

Lieutenant Colonel: Armen Mayori Babayan
Born on January 7, 1976. Served in the Defense Army of Artsakh from 1993 to 1996. Graduated from the law faculty of Stepanakert M. Mashtots University in 2007. Joined the special forces of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Artsakh in 1999. Served in the police system until 2008 and then continued service at the NSS of Artsakh until 2012. Since 2014, he served in the State Protection Department of the Police and continued in the Passport and Visa Department from 2015. Appointed head of the Passport Control Points Division of the Passport and Visa Department in 2018. He received several commendations during his service. He held the rank of Lieutenant Colonel. He was married and had two children. He was killed on March 5, 2023, during a police shift in the area known as “Khaypalu” due to the incursion of a diversion group from the Azerbaijani armed forces.

Major: Davit Valeri Danyelyan
Born on August 22, 1980. Served in the Defense Army of Artsakh from 2004 to 2006. Enrolled in the theoretical economics department of Artsakh State University in 2002 and graduated from the law faculty in 2008, receiving a master's degree. Joined the Passport and Visa Department of the Police in 2010. From 2019, he held the position of Deputy Head of the Passport Control Points Division of the same department. He received several accolades during his service. He held the rank of Major. He was married and had three children. He was killed on March 5, 2023, during a police shift in the area known as “Khaypalu” due to the incursion of a diversion group from the Azerbaijani armed forces.

Lieutenant: Ararat Telmani Gasparyan
Born on July 1, 1997. Served in the Defense Army of Artsakh from 2015 to 2017. Graduated from Shushi Technological University in 2022. Joined the Shushi regional division of the police in 2019, and from December 8, 2020, he continued serving in the Askeran regional division of the police. Appointed as an inspector in the Traffic Police Battalion with the rank of lieutenant in 2022. He was married and had one child. He was killed on March 5, 2023, during a police shift in the area known as “Khaypalu” due to the incursion of a diversion group from the Azerbaijani armed forces.
