Russia's Ministry of Defense Issues Statement on Azerbaijani Diversion in Artsakh

On March 5, Azerbaijani forces opened fire on a vehicle belonging to the law enforcement agencies of Nagorno-Karabakh, according to the Russian Ministry of Defense. The Russian Ministry of Defense reports, “Thanks to the efforts of Russian peacekeepers, the clashes in Nagorno-Karabakh have been halted, and the Russian command is conducting an investigation.”

The statement also notes that during the clash in Artsakh, three individuals were killed, one law enforcement officer was injured, and two Azerbaijani soldiers were also killed.
