Earthquake in Australia
An earthquake with a magnitude of 5.9 has been recorded off the shores of Macquarie Island, which belongs to Australia. This was reported by the Australian National Geological Bureau.
The epicenter, at a depth of 10 km, was located 700 km west of the island at the Macquarie Island station, where Australian and New Zealand scientists live and work.
No information has been reported about casualties or damage.
