‘If it were a prime minister’s child, they would have been airlifted; our child was left for 9 hours in a muddy field’: Mother of fallen soldier

Relatives of fallen soldier Poghosyan Palyan had blocked the Gyumri-Yerevan highway near the village of Azatana. Palyan, who had joined the army two years ago, was supposed to be released today, but he died due to a fire that broke out at one of the positions in Syunik on July 16 last year. Doctors fought for ten days to save the boy's life, but to no avail.

‘If it were even one prime minister’s child, you would see how they would respond. They would have airlifted a prime minister’s child to the hospital, while our child was left for 9 hours in a muddy field, and that’s why he couldn’t be saved,’ a woman related to the deceased soldier said, weeping.

‘We have kept the kingdom for 18 years, given to the state, where is my child today? I’m asking a question. These spineless wretches do not even have the capacity to listen; I don’t even want to hear from the parent,’ said the soldier’s mother.
