“This is the only reasonable statement made by the Russian side,” says Hayrapetyan

Former MP and expert on Azerbaijan Tatevik Hayrapetyan's remarks: “The regulations for the Lachin corridor must comply with the trilateral statement of November 9,” Lavrov stated at a press conference with Bayramov in response to Azerbaijan’s proposal regarding the installation of checkpoints.

“He has effectively reiterated Ararat Mirzoyan's stance on this issue. This is the only reasonable statement made by the Russian side. I previously mentioned that Azerbaijan made this proposal right at the table of US mediation, as they were well aware that Russia would oppose it. No checkpoints can be established in the Lachin corridor.”
