Azerbaijan Enters Battle for Baklava

After reports emerged that Armenia intends to appeal to UNESCO to include baklava in the list of Armenian intangible cultural heritage, Azerbaijan's Intellectual Property Agency has prepared and circulated its own bulletin attempting to prove that baklava is part of Azerbaijani cultural heritage. This was reported by the Инфотека24 Telegram channel.

The channel draws attention to the fact that Azerbaijan did not take any steps to appropriate this component of Armenian cultural heritage until First Lady Mehriban Aliyeva left her position as UNESCO goodwill ambassador.
