Lukashenko: "Today or Tomorrow, Xi Jinping Will Make a Statement on the Ukraine Conflict"

If no one hears China's position on the Ukrainian crisis, the world will face serious consequences, Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko stated in an interview with Chinese media. This information was reported by RIA Novosti.

"China has become a global country with its own global policy. I know that today or tomorrow Xi Jinping will make a statement regarding the Ukraine conflict," he said.

According to the Belarusian leader, this is an unusual step for Beijing, as the Chinese "never go where they shouldn't."

"If they understand that this will not yield a desirable result, they will also not take steps in this direction," Lukashenko explained.

He is confident that no problem in the world can be solved without China's participation, and noted that if China decides to express its opinion through its highest official, namely Xi Jinping, then "this will have serious consequences."

"Therefore, just looking ahead, I advise those who will be addressed by Xi Jinping's words to take them seriously and take certain steps. This will be a serious voice for peace in this region," emphasized the Belarusian president.

At the same time, the Belarusian leader believes that the upcoming statement from the President of China will not be aimed at confrontation, as was the case with Joe Biden's recent speech.

"I am confident that this speech will be the pinnacle of China's entire peace-loving policy. I am 100% sure, it cannot be otherwise. This is an example of this peace-loving policy," said Lukashenko.

He drew attention to the fact that Minsk adheres to the same position and expressed confidence that Russia is also inclined towards a peaceful resolution of the conflict.

"Everything is up to the Americans. Take concrete steps towards peace, and there will be peace. Today it became clear that China is the foundation of this whole knot," summarized the president of the country.
