“The Response Will Be Swift, Tough, and Adequate”: Lukashenko
Belarusian peace is not synonymous with sacrifice, and Minsk will be prepared to respond to any aggression against it. This was announced on Monday, February 20, by Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko. The information is reported by tvc.ru.
The politician made his remarks during a Security Council meeting. Lukashenko emphasized that in the event of any aggression, the response will be swift, tough, and adequate.
The President reminded that an effective state defense system has been established in Belarus. At its core are the armed forces, which address the most critical issues that require the concentration of all state efforts to protect it. “However, not only military personnel but also every person (not just men) should be able at least to handle a weapon, to protect their family, their native corner of the country, and, if necessary, the country, a land without which there would be no corner, no home, and nothing,” Lukashenko believes.
