Breaking: Defense Ministry's UAZ Rolls Down a Slope; Two Servicemen Lose Their Lives

On February 19, around 19:40, a Defense Ministry UAZ vehicle rolled down a slope due to an avalanche near the village of Khndzoresk, resulting in the deaths of contract servicemen Zorand Hrant Arzumanyan and Zorak Samvel Yeranosyan.

“Two servicemen with various injuries were transferred to the garrison hospital. The condition of the injured servicemen is assessed as stable, and their lives are not in danger. The vehicle crew attempted to assist other servicemen of their unit under extremely poor weather conditions, exhibiting selflessness to accomplish the mission. Unfortunately, due to the tragic accident, the aforementioned servicemen lost their lives. The Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Armenia shares the heavy grief of this loss and extends its condolences to the families, relatives, and colleagues of the servicemen who died in this unfortunate incident,” the statement from the Ministry of Defense reads.
