Closed and Impassable Roads Exist: The Situation in the Republic

The Emergency Service reports that there are closed and impassable roads in the territory of Armenia.

The roads from the "Amberd" high-mountain meteorological station in Aragatsotn Province to Amberd Fortress and Kari Lake are closed.

The Vardenyats Pass is difficult for trucks with trailers; it is recommended to use snow chains.

There are spots with black ice on the roads in the Aragats region.

According to information from the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia's Emergency Management Department and the Crisis Management Center of the Emergencies Ministry of Russia in North Ossetia, the Stepantsminda-Lars road is open for all types of vehicles.

Drivers are advised to travel exclusively with winter tires.
