Snow in Spitak, There Are Closed and Difficult Roads

The Emergency Situations Service reports that there are closed and difficult-to-navigate roads within the territory of Armenia.

In the Aragatsotn region, the roads from the "Amberd" high mountain meteorological station to the Amberd fortress and the Kari lake are closed.

The Vardenyats pass is difficult for trucks with trailers; it is recommended to use snow chains.

There are patches of black ice on the roads in the Aragats region.

In the town of Spitak, it is currently snowing.

As for the Lars situation, according to information received from the Emergency Management Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia and the North Ossetia Crisis Management Center of Russia, the Stepantsminda-Lars road is open for all types of vehicles.

Drivers are advised to travel exclusively with winter tires.
