Azerbaijan's Actions Have One Goal: Pashinyan
Azerbaijan's illegal blockade of the Lachin corridor has led to a humanitarian crisis in Nagorno-Karabakh. The humanitarian crisis has worsened due to the energy crisis, and simultaneously, an environmental crisis is also developing. This was stated today by Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan during a government session, explaining that in conditions of gas and energy supply interruptions, residents of Nagorno-Karabakh are forced to cut down forests to heat their homes.
"Azerbaijan's actions have one goal: to complete the policy of ethnically cleansing the population of Nagorno-Karabakh," said Pashinyan, noting that if the international community was previously skeptical about Armenia's claims, it is becoming more and more evident now. As evidence of this statement, Nikol Pashinyan cited the statements from the Lemkin Institute for the Prevention of Genocide regarding the blockade of the Lachin corridor.
"In a recent statement published on January 28, 2023, the Lemkin Institute urges world leaders to take the threat of genocide against Armenians in Nagorno-Karabakh seriously," Pashinyan stated. The Prime Minister emphasized the importance of continuing efforts to raise awareness of this alarm.
