Photos: Aleppo Governor Presents Certificate of Appreciation to Armenian Rescuers
On February 13, 2023, Babken Badalyan, the advisor and consul of the Armenian General Consulate in Aleppo, met with Colonel Armen Gevorgyan, the head of the Armenian international rescue team, and Colonel Sergey Bidzyan, the commander of the search and rescue group, as well as the Governor of Aleppo, Hussein Diab.
Badalyan expressed deep condolences regarding the innocent victims of the earthquake recorded in Aleppo and wished for a swift recovery for all the injured, according to a statement released by the Armenian consulate in Aleppo.
Badalyan noted that Syria is regarded as a friendly country by Armenia, and in situations like these, Armenia is ready to provide necessary support. Subsequently, Colonel Armen Gevorgyan presented a summary of the work carried out during the previous days and expressed gratitude for the support provided by the Aleppo governorate.
Governor Diab praised the Armenian rescuers and presented them with a certificate of appreciation from the Aleppo governorate. He and Consul Badalyan exchanged views on the multifaceted Armenian-Syrian relations.
It should be noted that from February 13, search and rescue operations were completed across all regions of Aleppo province.
