The Time Will Come, It's Not Far Off, Literally Tomorrow, Decisions Will Be Required: Lukashenko
The President of Belarus, Alexander Lukashenko, stated that member countries of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) must unite, act together, and not rely on "sitting back quietly." This information was reported by RIA Novosti.
“If someone thinks that the conflict between Ukraine and Russia is not our conflict, that we can sit somewhere quietly, that will not happen. The time will come, it's not far off, literally tomorrow, decisions will be required. I’m not saying this against national interests and so on. But despite all the shortcomings of our alliance, we need to clearly define our policy and our course so that we can work together. It is always easier this way. And it will be easier to work together,” said the Belarusian president during a meeting with CSTO Secretary General Imangali Tasmagambetov.
Lukashenko emphasized that all CSTO members must unite and act together.
“There are enough challenges; we have taken risks in trying to solve the problems we have during our presidency, especially at the borders of CSTO member countries. You know well both the Caucasus and Central Asia. There are problems there; let’s try to resolve them and unify the Collective Security Treaty Organization during these difficult times. You can see what is happening all around,” Lukashenko added.
