Kremlin Responds to US Embassy's Call to Avoid Travel to Russia

Russian presidential spokesman Dmitry Peskov told reporters that the US Embassy's call for American citizens to avoid travel to Russia and to leave the country is not new, as such calls have been made before.

“Citizens who are Russian citizens are primarily Russian citizens for us, regardless of whether they have a second citizenship,” emphasized Peskov.

It is noteworthy that the US Embassy in Russia has urged its citizens, as well as dual citizens, to refrain from traveling to Russia due to the “unpredictable consequences” of the conflict in Ukraine, and for those already in Russia to leave the country as soon as possible.
