Internal Investigation Launched into Police Actions in "Hammer" Car Incident

Internal investigation has been initiated at the Police Internal Security Department to examine the actions of police officers regarding the "Hammer" vehicle incident. Edgar Janoyan, the Deputy Head of the Public Relations and Media Department of the Armenian Police, informed Auroranews about this.

It is worth noting that on February 10, around 11:00 PM, the driver of the "Hammer" car grossly violated traffic rules in downtown Yerevan, failing to comply with the legal requirements of the patrol officers and driving towards police and civilians, performing dangerous actions that endangered their lives and health. Firearms were used to stop the vehicle by targeting its tires. The driver of the "Hammer" has been identified as 25-year-old Gegham Sahakyan, a resident of Ararat city in the Ararat province, who has been arrested.
