Arayik Harutyunyan Initiates Constitutional Amendment Process

Guided by the second part of Article 162 of the Artsakh Constitution, President Arayik Harutyunyan has signed a decree to initiate the process of amending the Constitution regarding the election of the President by the National Assembly in the event that the office of the President is vacant during a state of emergency.

On February 13, the draft amendment to the Artsakh Constitution was presented for discussion in the National Assembly.
