Photos: Armenian Rescuers Visit the Mother Church of St. Karasni from the Children in Aleppo

The Armenian Consulate General in Syria reports that on February 11, 2023, a group from the National Rescue Service of the Republic of Armenia arrived in Aleppo and visited the Mother Church of St. Karasni from the Children, where they were received by His Grace Bishop Makary Ashkaryan, the head of the Beriot Armenian Diocese.

The Bishop expressed words of praise for the rescuers arriving from Armenia, noting that their immense work has been highly appreciated by both the provincial authorities of Aleppo and the entire Armenian community in Aleppo.

He presented the history of the Mother Church of St. Karasni from the Children in detail, after which, under the guidance of His Grace, the Lord's Prayer was collectively recited.

At the end of the meeting, a candle lighting ceremony was held at the church in memory of the innocent victims of the devastating earthquake.

The members of the rescue team were accompanied by Babken Badalyan, the Consul General of Armenia, and the staff of the Armenian Consulate in Aleppo.
