Snow Falling in Certain Cities: Situation on Roads in Armenia

Roads leading from the «Amberd» meteorological station in the Aragatsotn region to the Amberd fortress and the Kary lake are closed. The Stepanavan twists and the Vanadzor-Dilijan highway are difficult to navigate for trucks with trailers.

There is ice present on the roads in the Aragatsotn, Ashotzk and Bavra regions. Snow is falling in the cities of Vanadzor, Talin, Kapan, Goris, Kajaran, Berd, Ijevan, and Dilijan.

According to information from Georgia's Ministry of Internal Affairs Emergency Management Department and the Russian Emergency Situations Ministry’s North Ossetia crisis management center, the Stepantsminda-Lars highway is open for all types of vehicles. Drivers are advised to use winter tires exclusively.
