Acupuncturist Arrested in Yerevan for Sexual Assault on Two Sisters

A criminal case has been initiated against a 59-year-old man temporarily residing in Yerevan by the investigative department of the Armenian Investigative Committee for the Erebuni and Nubarashen administrative districts.

According to Shamshyan.com, on February 6, officers from the Criminal Investigative Department of the Yerevan Police arrested this man on Zavarayan Street based on operational information regarding sexual offenses. He is suspected of committing sexual acts against two sisters, aged 17 and 25, in his apartment in Yerevan.

According to G. Shamshyan, the man practiced acupuncture and allegedly performed sexual acts under the guise of providing treatment to the sisters.

In the interests of the investigation, their names are not being disclosed.
