Triple Oscar-winning Pianist Burt Bacharach Has Died
Pianist and composer Burt Bacharach has died. The triple Oscar winner passed away yesterday at his home in Los Angeles at the age of 94. This information was reported by The Washington Post.
He wrote songs for the 1967 film "Casino Royale" and "Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid," both of which won Oscars for Best Original Score and Best Original Song.
The composer gained worldwide fame in the 1950s while accompanying actress Marlene Dietrich. In 1971, Burt Bacharach was inducted into the American Academy of Arts and Letters.
