Armenia to Send Rescue Workers to Turkey Following Government Decision

Armenia will assist Turkey in addressing the aftermath of the earthquake, according to information reported by Tert. am.

The media outlet notes that the government has already confirmed the decision to send representatives from the Ministry of Internal Affairs' rescue service to Turkey.

The Armenian rescue team will carry out search and rescue operations in the earthquake-affected areas near the Turkey-Syria border. It is also highlighted that organizational efforts are currently underway.

Auroranews attempted to verify this information with the Armenian government's information department. The head of the department, Aram Khachatryan, stated that the information needs to be confirmed by the Ministry of Emergency Situations. Meanwhile, calls to the ministry's spokesperson, Hayk Kostanyan, were left unanswered.
