Turkish Media Reports 57 Armenian Rescuers Deployed to Turkey; Armenia Denies
Political analyst Garnik Davtyan shared an article from the Turkish Milliyet news outlet on his Facebook page, claiming that 57 Armenian rescuers have traveled from Armenia to Turkey.
Auroranews made efforts to verify this information by contacting the spokesperson for the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Ashot Aharonyan. Aharonyan clarified that it would be more accurate to rely on the official figures published in Armenia.
He reiterated once again that 27 Armenian rescuers have gone to Turkey, while 29 have been sent to Syria.
It is worth recalling that devastating earthquakes struck Turkey and Syria on February 6 and 7, following which many countries offered their assistance, including Armenia.
