Our Support Has Been Expressed at the Highest Level: France on the Armenia-Azerbaijan Conflict
Today, we are extremely concerned about the blockade of the Lachin corridor, and we are continuously demanding that this corridor be unblocked and that food and humanitarian aid be provided to the population.
In an interview with RTVI, said France's Foreign Ministry spokesperson Anne-Claire Legendre.
“There is a real danger of a serious humanitarian crisis in Nagorno-Karabakh. In addition, we want and support the resumption of negotiations between Armenia and Azerbaijan. There is a European mediation that we unconditionally support. Thanks to the President of France, the representatives of the two countries were able to talk to each other last October during the Prague summit; within that framework, we decided to send an EU mission to the Armenian border to reduce tension. I believe that our support has been expressed at the highest state level. The French President personally made every effort for us to be able to resume negotiations and to resolve this situation and reduce the tension,” said Anne-Claire Legendre.
