VIDEO: 170 People Die Due to Cold Weather in Afghanistan

170 people have died in Afghanistan due to cold weather, including 50 children. Local media reports that this winter has become the coldest for residents in recent years. At the beginning of January, abnormal freezing temperatures reached as low as -28 degrees Celsius, with some regions recording temperatures as low as -34 degrees Celsius, reports the Xinhua news agency.

It is noted that the majority of those who died are villagers who do not have the means to heat their homes with wood or coal.
