US to Recognize 'Wagner Group' as Transnational Criminal Organization
The United States will impose sanctions on the 'Wagner Group' by recognizing it as a 'transnational criminal organization'. This was reported by TASS.
John Kirby, the Coordinator for Strategic Communications at the National Security Council, made the announcement. He stated, 'The Department of Treasury categorizes the Wagner Group as a serious transnational criminal organization, pursuant to Executive Order 13581 and its amendments. Based on this designation, we will be implementing additional sanctions next week against the group and their support networks across several continents.'
