Fire Safety Investigations to Be Conducted in All Major Civilian Facilities

On January 20, an emergency working consultation was held under the leadership of Garegin Khachaturyan, the head of the State Urban Development, Technical, and Fire Safety Inspection Body. Present at the meeting were Deputy Heads Ara Papikyann and Suren Minasyan, specialists from the Technical and Fire Safety Department of the Inspection Body, as well as department heads from structural and all regional divisions of the Inspection Body.

During the working consultation, Garegin Khachaturyan instructed the heads of the responsible divisions to conduct fire safety investigations and strict oversight functions in all major civilian facilities operating across the republic in a short timeframe. This specifically includes large shopping centers, woodworking and printing workshops, oil product warehouses, general-purpose stores, bases, and public facilities where large gatherings of people may occur.

Garegin Khachaturyan noted that after the completion of the fire safety investigation, the Inspection Body will issue orders to suspend operations or cease the operation of all economic entities for which fire safety regulatory document violations posing a direct threat to fire hazards and human safety are recorded by specialists of the Inspection Body in the buildings and constructions they operate.
