Soldiers Have Settled in Temporary Housing as Azerbaijan Blasted Main Barracks in September, Marukyan
On September 13, following an enemy attack that resulted in the destruction of the barracks area, the Armenian government ordered Italian modular barracks instead of repairing the existing ones. The company offered to bring barracks from Afghanistan, but the government did not agree, demanding new ones, which have now reached Armenia. This was stated by Edmond Marukyan, the special representative of the Armenian Prime Minister, during a Public TV broadcast.
Despite this, according to Marukyan, soldiers should not have been kept in the conditions they were in. "Soldiers have settled in these houses because Azerbaijan has destroyed the main barracks. Four months have passed, and that is what has been accomplished," he emphasized.
It is worth noting that preliminary figures indicate that due to a fire that broke out in the barracks of military unit N, 15 service members have died today, and the condition of 3 other service members is assessed as serious.
