UN Security Council Meeting on Ukraine to Be Held at Moscow's Initiative
Russia's Deputy Permanent Representative at the UN, Dmitry Polyansky, has announced a UN Security Council meeting regarding Ukraine, to be held at Moscow's initiative early next week. This was reported by RT.
The topic of the meeting has not been disclosed.
“For now, I will not specify what will happen in the Security Council next week after we put forward our documents on Ukraine. Let our opponents remain in ignorance for the time being,” Polyansky wrote on his Telegram channel.
The Deputy Representative also mentioned that Russia will hold an unofficial Security Council meeting on January 20 concerning the December shelling of Donbas.
Earlier reports indicated that the UN Security Council would hold a meeting on Ukraine on January 13, as reflected in the Security Council's agenda.
