Humanitarian Situation in Artsakh to Be Discussed in the European Parliament

Next week, discussions will take place in the European Parliament on the topic of the "Humanitarian Consequences of the Blockade in Artsakh." According to the organization's website, the discussion will include representatives from the European Union's executive bodies and is part of the agenda for January 18. A vote on a resolution related to this issue is scheduled for the following day.

It is noteworthy that as a result of another provocation by Azerbaijan, the Republic of Artsakh has been under blockade since the morning of December 12, violating the rights of 120,000 people in the country, including 30,000 children. The Stepanakert-Goris interstate highway, the only road connecting Artsakh with Armenia via the Berdzor (Lachin) corridor, remains fully closed by the Azerbaijani side under the pretext of "ecological concerns." As a result, 1,100 people, including 270 children, have been deprived of the opportunity to return home.
